Rosenberg, Texas Delores Lee Rutowsky 1930 — 2024 On the morning of June 5, 2024, Delores Lee Thompson Rutowsky, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side. Delores was born on August 14, 1930, to Paul Ordis and Hazel Hortense Thompson in Houston, Texas. She was the only child in a family filled with aunts, uncles, and cousins. She graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas. She attended the University of Houston, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education. Her thirst for knowledge led her to gain a Masters in ESL. She taught briefly in Alief ISD and soon joined Houston ISD, where she taught 2nd grade for 37 years.
