Copycat Freddy’s Steakburger Recipe

The burgers are thin and crispy while being seasoned to perfection. Each one is loaded with cheese and delicious toppings. This copycat recipe is a game changer.

We love Freddy’s frozen custard steakburgers. These burgers are super popular and taste amazing.
Each burger consists of 2 thin patties that are perfectly seasoned. They are cooked with the edges being a little crispy. It really is delicious.
What is Freddy’s Burger Seasoning?
It is a tasty blend of salt, sugar, paprika, black pepper, turmeric, onion powder and garlic salt. This seasoning blend gives the burgers the best flavor. It is salty and sweet for a burger you will love.

Ingredients:
For the Burger:
- Ground Beef. We used 80/20 ground beef for this recipe.
- American Cheese
- Hamburger Buns
- White Onion, sliced
- Pickle Slices
- Mustard
Freddy’s Seasoning ingredients:
- Salt
- Sugar
- Paprika
- Black Pepper
- Turmeric
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Salt
How to make freddy’s steakburger
- Step 1 – Make the patties. Roll the beef into 8 even balls that are approximately 2 oz each. Mix together the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Step 2 – Preheat a griddle or large cast iron pan. Heat a griddle over medium high to high heat. Approximately 400 degrees F.
- Step 3 – Cook the beef. Place the beef on the griddle or pan and then press them down with either a large spatula or burger press until the patties are very flat. Season each patty with the seasoning mixture.
- Step 4 – Cook the patties for 1-2 minutes until the patties are brown. Then flip the patties and cook for 1 more minute. Continue this process until all the patties are cooked.
- Step 5 – Top with slice of cheese. Then place a piece of cheese on half of the patties and wait 20-30 seconds for the cheese to melt.
- Top 6 – Add another patty. Place a patty on top without cheese on each patty with a piece of cheese. Remove and place them directly on the hamburger buns.
What goes on a Freddy’s steak burger
Top each burger with the sliced onions, pickles and mustard. Serve warm and enjoy!
How to store leftovers
These burgers are best served fresh. However, you can refrigerate the leftover patties in an airtight container up to 5 days.

- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions
